Is there a way to fix a Magellan roadmate 800 GPS unit?

Unit does not power on. If it does the picture is still or sometimes distorted (like lots of horizontal lines). Sometimes it turns on but giving me wrong location. Tried to reset it using the reset button, still won't work.Is there a way to fix a Magellan roadmate 800 GPS unit?
Download the "Magellan RoadMate 800 Recovery Utility" and and run the fix or patch while connecting your GPS to the PC. Follow all instructions carefully, also try again if you failed during first time attempt. Download and instructions here:

needs to go in for a repair (i think it's 13550 Independence Pkwy in Ft Worth, TX) but you will need an RA# from them firstIs there a way to fix a Magellan roadmate 800 GPS unit?
Look on the back for a little hole that says reset and stick a needle into it and push.
