when i turn it on and try to touch something it clicks something else. it is a Magellan RoadMate 1400.Why wont my gps work?
It's wore out, broken, junk... how would we know what is wrong with it? Go buy another one and take better care of it..Why wont my gps work?
It sounds like your "touchscreen calibration" has gone haywire. I'd recommend first trying to do a screen calibration. Be VERY precise when prompted to touch the indicated points on the screen. It's probably best to use something like a PDA stylus or the tip of a ballpoint pen (with the actual ballpoint retracted of course) rather than your fingertip when performing the procedure.

If that fails, it's possible that doing a "reset for first use" may cure the problem, but I'd really recommend that you check with Magellan support first. The reset will ERASE everything saved on the unit.

If you want to try the hard reset, you need to get into a hidden menu using the bottom buttons. Press plus-plus-minus-minus-plus-minus (++--+-) to access the menu.
