How can I exercise to get better at Basketball?

So I am a tall person. My mom thinks I should join the Basketball team next year in school. I agree with her but I don't know if I'm strong enough to join the Basketball team. Are there any exercises to make me better at Basketball?How can I exercise to get better at Basketball?
Work on getting toned up...if yer tall I say start with calf exercises...my favorite is standing on yer tip toes...stand in place an tiptoe and hold for 3 seconds..this is all done standing in place..just repeat...I usually do about a 100 a day..but I say start low maybe 30 n work yer way up..then i would go with aeorobic exercises such as riding a bike and jogging...after work on yer shoulders a little with pushups and legs with squads..last..doesn't hurt to do crunches or sit-ups either:) do yer best..oh and stretch a lot...make it a daily thing...before bed maybe or every morning..long as you do it every day..this can help tone you..start off with ye own body weight...stay away from weights for now..don't want to cause any injuries before the season starts...k well good luck;) and remember STRETCH..make it essential..it's vital to your performanceHow can I exercise to get better at Basketball?
You need to be lighter, so you can jump higher, and jumping a lot will make you taller.
