What do I need to do to start dunking a basketball?

I'm 6ft tall and I can touch the rim but I can't grip a basketball with one hand. I want to dunk by the end of this summer. Is it possible and what exercises would help me accomplish this and which muscles would make me jump higher? What do I need to do to start dunking a basketball?
There's quite a few things you can do...one thing is to actually improve your grip so that you can more easily hold the ball ("pinch" some weight plates and hold them or carry them). Lunges, squats, calf raises, and side lunges are great exercises for your lower body. You can also do plyometrics (jumping exercises often done on or over boxes/cones).

The best exercise, though, is going to be finding a lower rim (in your case probably a 9 1/2" rim) that you can dunk on but takes some effort. Then you know you're working all of the right muscles along with working on your approach and holding the ball. You can also add something like a weighted belt to increase the benefits.

Also, improve your athlete nutrition to improve your performance. Including possibly using some LEGAL substances like protein or creatine along with your training.

This is just a real quick summary. I've got more in-depth information on improving your grip strength your vertical, and your nutrition at my website on the "dunk better," "vertical," and "athlete nutrition" pages.

Work out, get your legs very strong so you can explode up high above the rim. And about palming the ball, you just have to wait for your hands to grow. Look up some leg workouts on google to find some good workouts and then go to the local gym and do them. Some workouts I can think of right now are squats, jump squats, and lunges. Focus mostly on your thigh muscles ( hamstrings and quadriceps) because those are the muscles you need stronger to be able to jump higher. What do I need to do to start dunking a basketball?
Hopefully, you will be close to gripping a basketball. Without palming it, you need a great jump. I am 6-1, and could get 5 inches up on the rim, but I couldnt grip, so my only dunk was a perfect alley-oop. But, I enjoyed dunking pop cans and tennis balls.

Great exercises include lunging, jump rope, and anything that builds your calves. Don't forget to stretch. No good jumping 10 8 if you pull a muscle.
Well work out reguraly. Run lift and if possible find a jumping program. My family found a program that can increase your jump by a few feet. You have to do constant training though. I seriously don't know why you can't grip a basketball but if you work on your jump you will be fineWhat do I need to do to start dunking a basketball?
Go to your local vet. have him inject you with animal cells, like black people, horse, dog, monkey..
