How can I build up my stamina for basketball?

Hi,

I'm looking to build up my stamina for basketball so I am able to run back and forth for long periods of time.

Where I live there is alot of snow outside during the winter, so running or biking is not an option for me. I have a membership and a gym, however, it does not feature an indoor track.

What are some ways I can build my stamina at home, or at the gym?

Thanks! How can I build up my stamina for basketball?
There is a tried and true exercise used in football practice that takes very little space, and will do just what you want.

Run in place fast for about 15 seconds, then drop all the way down to the ground on to your stomach as fast as you can, and then instantly get back up and start running in place again for 15 seconds and keep repeating. Do this about ten times, take a short break, then repeat the whole thing three more times.
Does the gym have a treadmill? You can run on that for a couple hours everyday... that should help. How can I build up my stamina for basketball?
I agree that you should check for a treadmill in the gym. I usually run for about 30-45 minutes at least three times a week. I don't know if you play any street ball or anything (at your gym perhaps) but I like to run on days that I play basketball.

Try running on the treadmill and then go play full court games after. You will be so used to playing full court while tired that running in a real game will seem easy.
is there any mountains with high altitude u can climb.

Since there's air u use ur air less and then when u get to normal altitude ur will have an increase in performance.

Thats what bikers do.How can I build up my stamina for basketball?
Maybe u could go to the stadium for a jog from 1-2 hours or more, try eating lesser greasy food and eat more veggie.i do not like to eat veggie myself, but its good for building up your body.try doing pull ups in the fittness corner and maybe push ups at home?and practice more.

good luck!
