look up some exercises on something called plyometrics. its like stuff that makes you get a lot more power. i know your only 11, im 16 but when i was your age i did a lot of exercises for strength and you need strength to jump higher. ok now im rambling on haha. what you need is a mix of speed and strength. that creates power and helps you jump higher. but yeah just jumping around DOES actually help, but obviously there are a lot better ways to do this
Just keep on jumpin jumpin Lolz practice baby

I luv bb btw ;)How can I increase my vertical leap in Basketball ?
well you can start jumping rope, standing in one place and start jumping as high as you can, you can get blocks and jump on them then jump off, so on and so forth until you are ready to increase the hight, another good way is to run up and down hills, you also want to stretch before and after these exercises.
Do cone jumps, jump over benches and explosion squats ( jump from a squat position and catch yourself). Don't train everyday though , do it every other day and get some rest. Trust me my football trainer taught me these things and now i can catch like Moss. How can I increase my vertical leap in Basketball ?
i have been coaching basketball the past 8 years. jumping higher is an added factor to excel in basketball game in and game out. how to achieve a higher leap, when you do your regular jogging, it is best to strap some weights on your waist, and on your legs. during practice and drills, putting on weights will allow you to develop your jumping skills.
At your age you should probably just keep being active and playing sports. That alone will make you stronger, faster, and more athletic in general. When you hit puberty you can start lifting weights. Squats will be the best thing for you. If you can start out by getting strong, you will create a lot of potential for huge athletic gains in the future.
