What Should i Do to get prepared for basketball?

Basketball is coming.

Should i run a mile everday or what?

I heard tryouts are horrible and everyone threw up blood.

So give me things i should to, get ready for it.

I want to be as ready as possible. What Should i Do to get prepared for basketball?
well im a guy so this might be different, but this is what my school's team did for a conditioning test:

1 mile- grd;5:00to5:45 fwd:6:00to6:45(mins)

Shuttle Run: grd: 48-50 fwd:50to52 (secs)

1 Suicide: 30 secs, we did this number of times however

and ran the length of the court 11 times in 60 secs

other then that, just work on dribbles, strength, shots, and most importantly defense.

hope i helped?

run suicides, shoot 100 shots a day, %26amp; start eatin healthy
well u should definitely try 2 get in shape b4 basketball starts even if u already are. run at least a mile a day, and go a lil faster than a jog. because u are never jogging in basketball. do some 30-40 yard sprints. basically, work on ur stamina and endurance. good luck. What Should i Do to get prepared for basketball?
lol i doubt anyone threw up blood. the style of offense for the team i played for last year was run, run, run, run, run. like the suns offense. nobody coughed up blood though. neways. run lines. jogging is good, but doesn't address the problem of starting and stopping and moving side to side, as i've come to find out.
You need to work on your ball handling (dribbling), shooting (form and technique) and agression. After you work on those skills for a few hours, you might want to go out and run a couple of miles, then work out in the weight room. However, it all depends on how comitted you are to the sport and to your future teammates.
