How Do You Get More Playing Time In Basketball?

I play on a local basketball team. I had to tryout and I made the team. I know im good, because I wouldnt be on the team if I wasnt. Im usually on the bench 3/4 of the game. There are these little six graders 4`5 getting more playing time than me and im in 7th grade. It disturbs me to no end because I KNOW im better than 3/4 of the team. Yet im playing 1 minute a game. Can anyone give me advice? How Do You Get More Playing Time In Basketball?
Hustle hustle hustle...its not about how good you are at that age, its about who puts the most into it...change your attitude and if you have the skills you will get your PT
well in middle school basketball, the coaches have to let everyone get some minutes, no matter how good or bad you are. If you made the team, you'll get minutes. Maybe he's letting the little kids feel good? idk, but in high scool basketball, the starters often play for the whole game.

Edit: if all else fails, suck up to the coachHow Do You Get More Playing Time In Basketball?
You probably are not as good as you think you are . Frankly, you don't sound like a team player. Basketball is a team sport. If you are serious you should respectfullly ask your coach how you can get into the game more -- and don't tell the coach that you are better than the guys he's playing.
When you're on the court be more aggressive, want the ball, call for the ball. Fight for the rebound. Jump higher, score more, be a team player. Create assists, hustle. Listen to your coach. Listen in practice and play just as hard in practice as in the game. Leave all of your energy on the court every time you play. Encourage your teammates at practice, on the bench, and in the game. Don't foul. Help your teammates. Don't be selfish. Get your points or just do what you do best. Play your role and if nothing changes at least you've done your best and worked your hardest and you should not be ashamed! How Do You Get More Playing Time In Basketball?
even if your good playing bBall compared to ur teammates ..i think coaches will give you lots of playing time if you have the heart and attitude..whats the use of being a good player that you think if you dont have the respect and teamwork that your coach looks to his boys..

i guess thats another thing that you need to consider..

i belong to the varsity team thats why somehow i can understand your situation..
in practice show your coach how determine and hardworking you are. If you want to play long minutes you need to work your *** for it. Doesnt matter if your 7th grade and the others are 4th graders.
