The triceps, which extend the arm from bent to straight, exactly what a shot motion is.What Muscle is the most important for a basketball shot?
Hi,

This is a difficult question because it can be answered in so many ways. If you are asking what muscle is used the most for shooting, it is the forearm muscle. The muscle from your wrist to your elbow. When you shoot you are using the flick of the wrist to get back spin, arc, and distance too.

Your legs are very important too because if you do not use them your shot will always be short, but I don't think it is necessary to workout your legs to improve your shot. Just make sure to use them when shooting to get lift on the ball.
